Hello, everyone!
I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve written. Since the time of my last post, I’ve started my senior year of school, completed one month of that senior year, and barely found time to breathe.
In the summer it was easier to write daily blog posts because each day I was doing something unique, or had something unique to see. Though I am much, much busier now than I ever was at any point this summer, I have generally the same routine every day, and though unique things do happen every day, I mostly see the same things, the same people, and am in the same places.
But I’m also loathe to give up this blog as a means of communication. Though I won’t post every day, I’ll try to keep it as up-to-date as possible. Over the next week or two, I’ll try to catch you up on a few of the more significant events that have filled my first month back here at UNCC, and after that I’ll regularly post highlights of my time.
Meanwhile, today you can walk through a Monday in my life!
I usually wake up around 8:00 am, get a cup of tea or coffee, and work until 9:30, when I have to be online for my Arabic class. Arabic lasts for an hour and a half, after which I take a shower and get ready for school. At 12:30 I have Wind Ensemble (yes, I’m back playing oboe!), and I have Peacebuilding in Divided Societies at 3:30. Until this Monday, I had Crossfit after that at 6:30, but my Groupon ended last week so now I have that time free.
Monday afternoons are usually when I do a lot of my work for the next week, because my Tuesdays run from about 6:00 am to 2:00 am the next day.
Cheers to a new week!
